Shipyard pipefitters develop training on 3D mapping tool
November 20, 2018 — Until recently, pipefitters from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility who needed to learn how to use 3D modelling to fabricate pipe assembles had to learn the mapping process on the job. 270 get credentialed at apprentice graduation
November 19, 2018 — Four years after digging into the double duties of extra work and academics as apprentices, 270 Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility employees struck pay dirt at the Nov. 16 Apprentice Graduation. USS Ohio (SSGN 726) entered drydock April 25, 2017, at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility, in Bremerton, Washington, and began her Major Maintenance Period.
