Navy Innovators Reveal Revolutionary Research to Counter Emerging Threats
October 12, 2018
IMAGE: KING GEORGE, Va. (Sept. 25, 2018) – Associate investigators Teeya Roche and Megan Kozub are pictured at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) In-house Laboratory Independent Research (ILIR) and Independent Applied Research (IAR) End of Year Review. They identified challenges, objectives, accomplishments and future benefits related to their IAR project -- “Data Visualization Support for Creation of a Numerical Table: Effects on Training and Performance” -- to Navy technical managers, engineers, and scientists as well as representatives from academia, industry, transition partners, and other key stakeholders. The innovative tool can reduce Sailor workload by minimizing the required sectors that a warfighter must monitor for each ship based on the global coverage area of the Fleet doctrine.
