NSWCDD Engineers Develop Post Intercept Debris Simulation to Protect Warfighters, Improve Capability

McConnell is the technical lead for the Damaged State Modeling of a Post Intercept Threat Program, also known as Damaged States. Miller is the program manager for both programs. PIDS is designed to provide Department of Defense testbeds with a representation of post-intercept debris for specific missile engagements. The office has inspector general-like responsibilities including inspections, investigations and audit tracking, and recently underwent an official name change to better reflect that role.
