WEST BETHESDA, Md. - Jessica Williamson, a program analyst in Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division’s Administrative Branch, was nominated for the Department of the Navy Civilian Service Commendation Medal for her accomplishments while serving on six-month detail at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) headquarters (HQ) at the Washington Navy Yard.
Williamson, who was specifically supporting the NAVSEA Facilities Division (SEA 10F) as the Corporate Operations Department Facility Operations Model Pilot Lead, led NAVSEA HQ’s Building 176 task force in executing facilities projects that could adequately accommodate a returning work force to the office from the COVID-19 Pandemic. Her accomplishments included leading SEA 10 fiscal year 22 high level projects, creating and maintaining lines of communication and working relationships via Microsoft Teams, explaining and demonstrating how NSWC Crane Division performed zone inspections, among more.
Williamson’s nomination package reads, “At the request of the NAVSEA executive director, Ms. Williamson spearheaded crucial efforts to ensure the command’s facilities were fully prepared to support employees returning to the office following NAVSEA’s COVID-19 telework posture. She contributed invaluable expertise, worked with stakeholders and team members to develop innovative solutions, and briefed the status of initiatives at the highest level of NAVSEA leadership. Her efforts were integral to the success of the Corporate Operations and Total Force Directorate and its ability to further the NAVSEA mission. By her exemplary leadership, partnership, expertise and professionalism, Ms. Williamson reflected credit upon herself and upheld the highest traditions of the Department of the Navy.”
During her time at Carderock, Williamson has received several performance-based accolades and recognition. According to command leadership, she is a critically important employee to Carderock’s workforce.
