NSWC Crane scientists and engineers provide expertise at annual Sea-Air-Space Conference

By NSWC Crane Corporate Communications

Several Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division scientists and engineers presented at the annual Sea-Air-Space (SAS) Conference. According to their website, SAS is the largest maritime expo in the U.S. and brings together key decision makers within the Department of Defense with industry and academic collaborators.

“SAS is a great opportunity to present to industry and open lines of communication for future collaborations and partnership opportunities,” said Dr. Angela Lewis (SES), NSWC Crane’s technical director. “Having four NSWC Crane employees present allowed us to share Crane’s expertise with new audiences.”

Tim Allen presented "Change Management in a Model Based World," Gustavo Correa presented "Empowering the Digital Twin with Integrated Modeling and Simulation," Alicia Scott presented " The Power of Bad Data," and Jaxton Smith presented "Interoperability of DME Software Suites."

“It is important for us to build connections with industry, academia, and other warfare centers because it can open doors for people doing similar work,” said Correa, a mechanical engineer at NSWC Crane. “Discussing our work with others outside our organization can help create a greater understanding of the work being done at NSWC Crane.”
