NSWC Crane Technical Director Dr. Adam Razavian Ready to Face New Challenges

150103-N-VV028-001 - CRANE, Ind. — Dr. Adam Razavian’s career with the federal government came full circle this month when he departed from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), which first employed him in 1989.  His last day at the warfare center was Feb. 4 and Razavian said although he was sad to leave an organization he called home for many years, he is excited to face new challenges at aerospace and defense company General Dynamics.

Dam Neck Engineer Awarded Cybersecurity Honor

Robert Turner, Combat Direction Systems Activity, Dam Neck (CDSA) engineer, was selected as the Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Civilian Cybersecurity Professional of the Month, Hampton Roads Chapter.  Turner received this honor during the chapter's monthly meeting Jan. 12 after being nominated by his customer, Joint Staff J7 Cyberspace Environment Division.  Turner led a team that developed and implemented a computer network defense program to enhance security and mitigate risks on three networks of the Joint Information Operations Range distributed cyber training environment.

Navy Lays Keel of Future USS Tulsa (LCS 16)

MOBILE, Alabama (Jan. 11, 2016) A welder authenticates the keel by welding the initials of the ship's sponsor, former mayor of Tulsa, Oklahoma Mrs. Kathy Taylor, onto the keel plate of the U.S. Navy's sixteenth littoral combat ship, the future USS Tulsa (LCS 16).
