Navy Launches Talent Pipeline Expansion in Southern California

Representatives from the U.S. Navy and industry launched the Southern California Talent Pipeline Program in Newport Beach, California, April 26. 

The Southern California Talent Pipeline Program will engage hundreds of shipbuilding and ship sustainment suppliers across the region to create maritime-focused manufacturing pipelines that revitalize the defense workforce by addressing critical skill gaps.

ATLANTIC OCEAN -- Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) fires a standard missile (SM-2) during Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT) in the Atlantic Ocean on Feb.18, 2024. The crew's successful intercept of an air target with a missile (SM-2) is a first for a ship running a virtualized Aegis Combat System.
