On Remote Wake Island, Navy’s White Sands Team Launches Its Biggest Sounding Rocket to Test Plasma Energy Conversion in Space
A sounding rocket towers over a launch site on Wake Island in the Pacific Ocean ahead of the Feb. 12 Space Measurement of a Rocket-released Turbulence (SMART) mission, which the Naval Research Laboratory managed.
