NSWC Indian Head Division STEM Program Culminates in Summer Robotics Competition
A student with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division’s (NSWC IHD) Naval Energetics Technology Apprenticeship Program (NETAP) maneuvers their underwater remotely operated vehicle for his group’s scenario, July 18 at Naval Support Facility Indian Head. NETAP provides students an opportunity to engage in a hands-on internship allowing them to develop their engineering skills. Over the course of the program, students learned and improved upon their tooling, soldering and programming skills by building miniature unmanned underwater vehicles.
