NSWC Panama City Division’s MEASUR: Revolutionizing underwater safety through subsea recognition
July 8, 2026 — Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division scientists are revolutionizing subsea battle damage assessment with a groundbreaking initiative called MEASUR (Mission Effectiveness & Assessment with Subsea Recognition). By equipping unmanned underwater vehicles with advanced sensors and AI, this system represents a significant leap forward in how the U.S. Navy evaluates underwater threats and infrastructure.
