Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Employee of the Year nominees, their co-workers, friends and family gathered together at the Admiral Theatre, April 23, 2025, to honor the command’s top employees during the annual PSNS & IMF recognition ceremony.

During the event, the command celebrated the accomplishments of 222 workforce members who were nominated for their efforts in 2024.

Capt. JD Crinklaw, commander, PSNS & IMF, presided over the event and emphasized how important it is to recognize employees who go above and beyond to exceed the standard.

“I want to offer my congratulations to all our nominees and winners for Employees of the Year!” Crinklaw said. “You are each a shining example of the values and commitment to excellence that have guided our command for more than 133 years. Today, we honor you and the outstanding work you perform every day. Your consistent and unwavering commitment to our mission and the shipyard team sets the standard for all of us here at the command. Each one of you has helped guarantee that our team remains agile, efficient and prepared to maintain, modernize and retire our Navy’s fleet. Thank you for all that you do today and every day. We couldn’t complete our crucial Navy mission without teammates like you leading the way.”

At the ceremony, 31 PSNS & IMF employees were recognized as winners across 25 separate categories. Those recognized were nominated by co-workers, supervisors or managers and voted upon by the shipyard’s Incentive Awards Committee.

The 222 nominees represented the full spectrum of jobs at PSNS & IMF, and represented the 23 codes and shops that comprise shipyard operations.

Crinklaw praised the winners and nominees for the work they do every day at PSNS & IMF.

“It is the adaptability, creativity and perseverance of the people in this room and those teammates of ours who are working down the road right now — keeping the mission going — who sustain our reputation and support our national security,” Crinklaw said. ”We can’t meet our mission to maintain, modernize and retire our Navy’s fleet without every single one of you.”
