NSWC Crane offers unique, hands-on rapid innovation and prototyping lab training opportunity to students

CRANE, Ind. -- As part of a collaboration between the rapid innovation and prototyping lab (RIPL) and the human resources’ student program, interns enrolled in a two-week course to get hands-on experience in sewing, welding, machining, and computer animated designing. The class is a compressed version of the Mobile Technology Repair Complex (MTRC) training. The MTRC provides timely and responsive means, to repair, modify, and enhance current capabilities of special operations forces systems and sub-systems as well as design, engineer, and fabricate new equipment to increase the effectiveness and survivability of SOF operators worldwide. The RIPL hosts rapid innovation events for Special Operations and Expeditionary Customers.
