Over 70 representatives from NSWCDD’s seven technical departments were on hand to answer questions from potential new hires, review resumes and discuss potential career opportunities. Several hundred new potential candidates flowed through three massive ballrooms to speak with one representative after another from each of the departments.   Many were immediately taken to a private meeting room for an initial interview.  Fannie Robinson, who works for NSWCDD Human Resources remarked, “These events are very rewarding and exciting.  They allow others the opportunity to see new talents and perspectives.”

A representative from the Strategic and Computing Systems Department summed up the spirit of the event best, “This opportunity allows us to recruit from the most talented pool of scientists and engineers.  Not only are we here to innovate, modernize and maintain the capabilities and strengths of the warfighter, we are here to change lives.”

Each department had several areas of expertise to fulfill and more than one recruiter remarked on the high caliber of candidates who came to the job fair at the Expo Center.   Tina Ward from the Gun and Electric Systems Department stated, “Today’s job fair brought out candidates from many walks of life.  A diverse pool of people and backgrounds.  It was my first job fair and it was well organized from the pre-meetings to the events.”
