Romeo Aquino, painter, Code 730, Crane Maintenance, works high above the shipyard while repainting Portal Crane 92, July 31, 2025, at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility in Bremerton, Washington. A team of painters from Code 730 has spent the better part of the summer updating cranes 80, 82 and 92. The paints used are silicone alkyd enamel, adding a higher gloss sheen for ease of cleaning purposes, for better UV deflection which also helps slow the oxidation process down.
