Congressman Jim Langevin discusses complex challenges in cybersecurity during visit to NUWC Division Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. - U.S. Rep. Jim Langevin (from right) is welcomed to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport by Technical Director Ronald Vien, Commanding Officer Capt. Chad Hennings, and Juan "Tony" Mendoza, an information technology specialist in the Undersea Warfare Combat Systems Department, during a visit on Nov. 28, 2022. Langevin, whose term as the representative of Rhode Island’s 2nd Congressional District ends in January, has been a regular visitor to Division Newport during his 22 years in Congress. He spoke about the challenges of maintaining cybersecurity superiority as a follow-on to the command’s observation of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
