NEWPORT, R.I. - Fireman Micah Allen turns a handwheel during an engineering training evolution in the aft main machinery room on board Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) on March 10, 2020. Essex was underway in the eastern Pacific Ocean conducting routine maritime operations.
