West Bethesda, MD - Astronaut Megan McArthur gives a pep talk in a video from the International Space Station to students participating in the 16th International Submarine Races in June 2021. The ISR is being held virtually due to concerns stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. McArthur is currently serving as Pilot of the NASA SpaceX Crew-2 mission to the ISS, which launched on April 23, 2021. She had participated in the submarine races as a college student, and credits the experience for her decision to pursue becoming an astronaut.
