Senior Chief Jordan J. Provinsal

Command Senior Enlisted Leader, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility

Senior Chief Jordan J. Provinsal is a native of Vancouver, Wash. He volunteered to serve in the United States Navy Jan. 13, 2010. Following basic training, he attended Machinists Mate Nuclear ‘A’ school and Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek, S.C.

After ‘A’ school and Power school, Provinsal attended was assigned to the Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, N.Y., before reporting to the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in Bremerton, Wash., February 2012. He qualified Chief Reactor Watch and Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor, while performing the duties of Reactor Mechanical Propulsion Plant Leading Petty Officer and Gage Calibration Technician, until November 2016.

His next tour was at Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit, where he advanced to E6 and served as the Machinery Division Leading Petty Officer, and Training Coordinator at the Modifications and Additions to Reactor Facilities (MARF) Prototype.

He next served aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in Bremerton, from 2020 to 2023, where he was advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his time onboard he was a Leading Chief Petty Officer for both Propulsion plants in Reactor Mechanical, and he served as the Reactor Department 3M Assistant.

Next, he attended Radiological Controls Technician Qualifying School at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Va. After RCTQS, he reported to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department and served as the Production Leading Chief Petty Officer, and Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. While serving there he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.

Provinsal is authorized to wear the Navy Commendation Medal (1), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, and various other campaign and service awards.

He is married to Haley, and has three children, Audri (born 2012), Peighton (born 2015), and William (born 2021).
