Senior Chief Aegis Fire Controlman (SW) Autumn Johnson

Senior Enlisted Leader, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division

Senior Chief Petty Officer Aegis Fire Controlman Autumn Johnson serves as the senior enlisted leader of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). In this role, she assists the commanding officer and executive officer in all matters pertaining to the warfighting readiness of Sailors, their families and the command. She establishes and maintains conditions to ensure the unit is fully prepared for warfighting while enabling a culture of professional excellence that includes a productive and positive command climate.

Johnson enlisted in the Navy in 2010 while attending Advanced Electronics/Computer Field and Fire Controlman “A” School at Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Fire Controlman Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense “C” School in Dahlgren, Virginia.

During her first duty station, she served as the work center supervisor of the Aegis Weapon System computer and display from 2012 to 2016 aboard USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60), homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Johnson completed the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Weapons System Supervisor Course in Dahlgren in 2016. She then served as combat systems maintenance manager assistant and lead petty officer of the Aegis Weapon System aboard USS Ross (DDG 71) from 2016 to 2018, homeported in Rota, Spain. Johnson was promoted to chief petty officer in 2018.

Following this tour, she completed the Aegis Computer Network Technician course in Dahlgren. Johnson next oversaw three teams at Aegis Ashore Romania as combat systems departmental lead chief petty officer.

Johnson earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. She is working towards her Master of Business Administration, also at Columbia College.

Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, five Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, four Good Conduct Medals and various unit citations and awards.
