Master Chief Fire Controlman Ryan Patricio

Senior Enlisted Leader, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division

Master Chief Petty Officer Fire Controlman Ryan K. Patricio serves as the senior enlisted leader of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division. In this role, he assists the commanding officer and executive officer in all matters pertaining to the warfighting readiness of Sailors, their families and the command. He establishes and maintains conditions to ensure the unit is fully prepared for warfighting while enabling a culture of professional excellence that includes a productive and positive command climate.

Patricio enlisted in the Navy in 2005 while attending Advanced Electronics/Computer Field and Fire Controlman “A” School at Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) “C” School in San Diego, California.

During his first duty station, he served as the CIWS work center supervisor and weapons division leading petty officer from 2006 to 2011 aboard USS Dubuque (LPD 8), homeported in San Diego.

After decommissioning USS Dubuque, he served as the course manager of CIWS “C” School, where he was promoted to chief petty officer in 2013. He then served as CG leading chief petty officer (LCPO) and weapons department LCPO aboard USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112), homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, from 2015 to 2020.

Following that tour, Patricio transferred to Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity in Pensacola, Florida. There, he assisted in Foreign Military Sales and served as the senior enlisted leader from 2020 to 2022.

His most recent sea tour was aboard USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000), where he served as the combat systems maintenance manager from 2023 to 2026.

Patricio earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration from National University and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy class 229.

His awards include four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, seven Good Conduct Medals, and various unit citations and awards.
