Master Chief Robert B. Strupczewski hails from Runnemede, N.J. He enlisted in the Navy in June 2000, attending basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. He then attended Advance Electronics Computer Field Tech-core school and Fire Controlman, “A” school. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 226 Gold) and a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) course (Class 20020).
His sea duty assignments include serving aboard USS Anzio (CG 68), USS Mason (DDG 87), USS Gravely (DDG 107), USS Independence (LCS 2), and USS OAKLAND (LCS 24) BLUE, and USS ASHLAND (LSD 48).
Strupczewski’s shore tours include Naval Recruiting District Philadelphia and leading a Counter - Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (CRAM) unit with Joint Task Force 1-174 Air Defense Artillery Brigade in Balad, Iraq.
Strupczewski’s personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), the Army Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (nine awards), as well as various unit awards, campaign and service decorations.
