
Commander Jason McClintic is a native of Brooklyn Park, MN. He entered the Navy through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at the cross-town University of Saint Thomas with a double major in Economics and Mathematics. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
After commissioning, CDR McClintic reported to USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54) in Yokosuka, Japan where he qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer. After transitioning to the Engineering Duty Office community he served as a Ship Superintendent and Project Manager at U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center Detachment Sasebo, as Communications Systems Officer aboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), as Deputy Installation Execution Manager (Undersea) at Naval Information Warfare Systems Command Fleet Readiness Directorate Code 200 (Installations), as Assistant Program Manager for Naval Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul—Maritime at Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics, and Business Systems, as the Military Deputy Project Superintendent for the USS JOHN WARNER (SSN 785) project at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and as the Branch Head for Maritime Readiness Requirements (OPNAV N831) on the Chief of Naval Operations Staff.
CDR McClintic’s personal awards include four Navy Commendation Medals, one Navy Achievement Medal, and seven Overseas Service Ribbons.
CDR McClintic assumed his current duties as the Officer-In-Charge of SRF-JRMC’s Sasebo Detachment on June 14, 2024.
