A surface warfare officer, CAPT Le Andra N. Kissinger is a native of Los Alamos, New Mexico and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Central Florida and master's degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University.
At sea, CAPT Kissinger served as Ordnance officer aboard USS McInerny (FFG 8), Reactors Controls Officer aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Operations Officer aboard USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), Main Propulsion Assistant and Reactor Training Assistant aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Executive Officer aboard USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) and Plank Owner Commanding Officer aboard USS BELOIT (LCS 29).
Ashore, CAPT. Kissinger served as the Readiness Control Officer instructor for the Littoral Training Facility Mayport, Florida followed by the Deputy Officer in Charge for the Mobile Training Team COMNAVSURPAC San Diego, CA.
CAPT. Kissinger has served on teams that have been recognized with numerous awards and is the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and various units, campaign, and service awards.
