  • ​Starting in elementary school, look forward to STEM Nights and STEM Expos.  
    We come to you for local STEM events focused on bringing science together for hands-on experiences.
     
  • In middle school, join our Summer Middle School STEM Academy. 
    Roll up your sleeves for hands-on STEM activities at a multiday summer camp hosted at King George Middle School designed to increase interest in STEM disciplines and careers. Enjoy the following:
    - Navy-focused robotic missions
    - STEM career discussions and speakers
    - Balsa wood tower design
    - Foil-boat engineering
    - Lab demos
     
  • In high school, prepare for our Career and Internship Fairs.
    NSWCDD STEM Advocates are ‘All In’ to inspire students to continue pursuing and remain passionate about STEM fields. Our STEM Advocates are enhancing the Nation and the Navy’s lethality everyday they come to work. That commitment is contagious and they are always ready to serve – the Nation or their Neighborhood. Learn about their career paths. Come out to a Career and Internship Fair to hear about internship and career opportunities at NSWCDD.
     
  • From elementary to high school, take a field trip to Dahlgren Downtown.

    We bring Dahlgren Division to you in downtown Fredericksburg. See a range boat up close.
    Learn about our history and technology. Navigate robots. Participate in STEM activities including:

    - Ozobots + Lego SPIKE
    - Make Your Own Ice Cream
