Two NUWC Division Newport engineers earn Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Awards
Gary Huntress, subject matter expert for Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) in the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Undersea Warfare Platforms and Payload Integration Department, recently earned a Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the third highest honorary civilian award bestowed by the U.S. Navy, for his role in advancing AI/ML collaboration, discussion, education and capabilities.
