During the visit, Owens and Cramer met with senior leadership from PHNSY & IMF to assess progress on the Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program and tour the shipyard’s dry dock areas that will be modernized beginning in 2023. The first modernization action proposes to construct and operate a new graving dry dock and waterfront production facility to support current and future classes of the nation’s nuclear-powered submarines.

AN/SPY-6(V)1 Air and Missile Defense Radar System

201007-N-IJ355-001 MOORESTOWN, N.J. (Oct. 7, 2020) -- The U.S. Navy accepted delivery of the Navy's AN/SPY-6(V)1 Air and Missile Defense Radar System at land-based test site Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, N.J., Oct. 7. Installing and integrating the radar system at CSEDS enables the Navy to save time and expense testing and evaluating new radar capabilities that support and protect the warfighter.
