DAHLGREN, Va. (Aug. 30, 2019) – Naval Sea Systems Warfare Centers Commander Rear Adm. Eric Ver Hage presents the Secretary of Defense Medal for the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) plaque to Nicholas Mastrokalos at an award ceremony moments after pinning the medal on Mastrokalos – a Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) engineer. The GWOT Medal recognized and honored Mastrokalos’ contributions and accomplishments in direct support of the armed forces engaged in operations to combat terrorism.
