During the visit, Owens and Cramer met with senior leadership from PHNSY & IMF to assess progress on the Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program and tour the shipyard’s dry dock areas that will be modernized beginning in 2023. MARMC sent a training team to Rota but normally provides services for more than 70 ships in the Mid-Atlantic region to ensure the ships and their crews are able to fulfill their missions with minimal repair and maintenance downtime.
