NEWPORT, R.I. - Metrology and Calibration Laboratory technician Timothy Kipphut, of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Rapid Prototyping, Calibration and Survivability Branch in the Ranges, Engineering and Analysis Department, calibrates a dew point meter on Jan. 18, 2023. To keep the U.S. Navy fleet operating safely, laboratory staff maintain more than 800 calibration standards for pieces of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment.
