NEWPORT, R.I. - A temporary underwater vehicle testing tank was built this summer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport to assist the Undersea Technology Apprentice Program (UTAP) and alleviate safety concerns because of the coronavirus pandemic. On July 21, UTAP students demonstrated their robots to Technical Director Ron Vien (center) and Candida Desjardins, director, Educational Outreach.
