CORAL SEA - CORAL SEA -- The U.S. Navy Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) leads a formation of 17 other ships during Talisman Sabre 2019. More than 150 technical experts from Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division, NSWC Philadelphia Division, and NSWC Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division attended a Nov. 8, 2019 event -- called Dahlgren Innovation Day -- for discussions and demonstrations about technologies that will impact the current and future fleet, including the Reagan battle group. "We saw demonstrations that involved artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensors, quantum-based computing, cloud-native technologies, automation, blockchain, and other advanced capabilities that will have a dramatic impact on our development of innovative solutions for the fleet," said Laura Martin, program manager for the Information Technology Hyper Convergence - Hybrid Cloud Team at NSWC Dahlgren Division.
