(Oct. 25, 2019) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Alexa Macri middle, from Huntington, West Virginia, Chief Warrant Officer Steven Sturm, left, from Los Angeles, and Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Natia Ellam, from Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, all three assigned to the deck department aboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), take a break from sea and anchor during sea and anchor detail, Oct. 25, 2019. Gerald R. Ford departed Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding and returned to sea for the first time since beginning their post-shakedown availability in July 2018 to conduct sea trials.
