IMAGE: DAHLGREN, Va. (Oct. 4, 2019) – Lesley Painchaud – Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) scientist – recounts the challenges she faced in her career as a Navy officer and as a veteran transitioning to the civilian workforce while offering advice to her fellow veterans employed at NSWCDD. Painchaud was among a panel of five NSWCDD civilian leaders and technical experts who shared career tips and strategies at the command’s Veterans Integration event. The panel discussed how veterans can leverage the expertise they developed in the military as well as resources such as mentoring and increased networks to build successful civilian careers.
