IMAGE: DAHLGREN, Va. (Oct. 2, 2017) - British Royal Navy First Sea Lord Adm. Sir Philip Jones presents a book on the Royal Navy and a plaque to Capt. Godfrey "Gus" Weekes, Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) commanding officer, during his tour of NSWCDD. The 1SL and his delegation toured NSWCDD laboratories and test sites for overviews on programs ranging from human systems integration and ballistic missile fire control to directed energy weapons, including the electromagnetic railgun and high energy lasers. The command provides research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems.
