Dahlgren, Va - DAHLGREN, Va. (May 17, 2017) - Anthony D'Alessandro holds the John Adolphus Dahlgren Award moments after receiving it from Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) leadership at the command's annual honor awards ceremony. D'Alessandro was recognized for the crucial role he played in establishing NSWCDD as the undisputed leader for government designed and developed fire control systems. "Mr. D'Alessandro was a 'founding father' in the architecture and development of the MK 160 Gun Computer System and, throughout his 30 year career at Dahlgren, he has lead numerous other government fire control initiatives, most recently for the 30mm and 105mm Battle Management System gun weapon systems," according to the citation.
