A middle school student uses remote-controlled models to solve simulated naval robotic missions at a science, technology, engineering and mathematics summer academy, sponsored by the National Defense Education Program. The annual summer academy ran from June 24 to 28 at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Va. Ninety-five students from five school districts engaged in the summer camp.
