Eric Ver Hage – commander of the Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) Warfare Centers – discusses high energy laser testing with Dr. Chris Lloyd, High Energy Laser Lethality lead at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). Lloyd emphasized that lethality lab efforts – including rigorous modeling and testing against target materials to ensure high energy laser systems meet warfighter requirements – are growing while keeping pace with an increased demand signal for fielded high energy laser weapons.
