NSWC Crane Receives Hiring Authority

By NSWC Crane Public Affairs

March 24, 2015

CRANE, Indiana - Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division was given hiring authority to hire more than 350 new employees this fiscal year.  For the first time in several years, this authority will account for a small amount of growth in the number of Crane’s government employees.

“In fiscally constrained times, we generally are allowed to hire to attrition, which means we maintain the same number of employees accounting for retirement and resignations,” stated Ms. Nancy Maloy, Director of the Corporate Operations Department.  “Because our workload demand is on the rise, NAVSEA has authorized NSWC Crane to hire more personnel allowing us to increase our numbers to maintain the technical intellectual capital required to perform our mission.”

A number of jobs are already open to applicants, with positions available at all degree levels.  Job listings are available at www.usajobs.gov website and will be updated throughout the year.  NSWC Crane seeks U.S. citizens to fill positions in all of the following career fields:

• Acquisition/Contracting
• Business
• Chemistry
• Computer Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Technicians
• Human Resources
• Industrial Engineering
• Information Technology
• Logistics / Program Analysts
• Mathematics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Project Management
