BREMERTON, Wash. –
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility Employee of the Year nominees, their co-workers, friends and family gathered together at the Admiral Theatre April 23, to honor the command’s top employees during PSNS & IMF’s annual recognition ceremony.
During the event, the command celebrated the 234 personnel who were nominated for their performance in 2023.
Capt. JD Crinklaw, commander, PSNS & IMF, presided over the event and emphasized how important it is to recognize employees who go above and beyond to exceed the standard.
“This ceremony underscores our commitment to putting people first, celebrating not just the professional excellence of our team members, but also their invaluable contributions to fostering a supportive and united community within our command,” Crinklaw said. “This year, we have the privilege of recognizing 234 outstanding nominees. Each of you represents the pinnacle of commitment and excellence that defines our workforce. Your daily efforts ensure our Navy remains a formidable presence, capable of meeting today’s challenges and seizing tomorrow’s opportunities.”
At the ceremony, 32 PSNS & IMF employees were recognized as winners across 25 separate categories. Those recognized were nominated by co-workers, supervisors or managers and voted upon by the shipyard’s Incentive Awards Committee.
Crinklaw praised the winners and nominees for the work they do every day at PSNS & IMF.
“Today is about you—the engineers, the technicians, the artisans, and every role in between,” Crinklaw said. “Whether you are a newcomer or a seasoned veteran, whether you impact our mission from within your department or by serving the broader community, your contributions are vital. You are the backbone of our readiness and the spirit of our Navy.”
