CRANE, Ind. –
A Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) employee was awarded the Military Sensing Symposia (MSS) Goodell-Pollock Memorial Award for Dedicated Service with his work in the Infrared (IR) Countermeasure (CM) Community.
Mark Anderson received this prestigious award at this year’s Military Sensing Symposia Electro-Optical (E-O)/Infrared Countermeasure Symposium. This conference brings together experts in the field to discuss and review new technology that is being developed for American aircraft. Some of this technology includes Airborne Expendable Infrared Countermeasure platform protection, which Anderson has been an expert in for over 20 years.
Upon receiving his award Anderson credited his team and their dedication to the mission to making this work possible.
“I work with an incredible team of people at PMA272 and Spectrum Warfare Systems Department, IR/RF Systems Technologies Division that are dedicated to protecting and supporting the Warfighter; they are all contributors making the award possible.”
Along with being one of the top experts in Airborne Expendable IRCM platform protection, Anderson also works with many of the United States military laboratories, aircraft program offices, and countermeasure program offices to guarantee that all aircraft are well protected. Anderson has also authored and co-authored 24 papers that have been presented at the MSS IRCM Symposium.
