NAS names Jeremy Feldbush as its 2022 Superintendent of the Year

By PSNS & IMF Public Affairs

The National Association of Superintendents has named Jeremy Feldbush its 2022 Superintendent of the Year, according to an NAS announcement.

Feldbush, deputy project superintendent, USS Pennsylvania (SSBN 735) Project, was selected for “consistently demonstrating our association principles, and for doing this in all of his interactions, regardless of what level he is interacting with (from apprentice to the shipyard commander),” according to the NAS announcement.

A committee of past awardees convened to select this year's winner.

During the past year, Feldbush "has developed a high level of skill in all the areas he has worked, and has used it to mentor and grow mechanics, supervisors and managers alike. He's also built a strong team culture, going out of his way to ensure no one feels left out. Every day he takes time to stop by and talk to folks – not just the people in his organization, but the engineers, the test house and others that support the team,” the announcement said.

Over the past six years, Feldbush has made good on his NAS Personal Assessment commitments, that were to “improve leadership based principles,” to look at how his actions and decisions affect the overall command, and “develop a better overall relationship with Project Superintendents,” the announcement said.

During his tenure as the president of The National Association of Superintendents, Feldbush has moved the organization forward and has grown trust among its members, while also standing for the honor and tradition of the association, according to the announcement.

“He is the model of unselfishness and is a servant leader in support of his team mates, the command and the Navy,” the announcement said.
