Brown County STEM Students Visit NSWC Crane

Brown County Junior High School STEM students presented their final projects to NSWC Crane leadership on Friday, 18 May, including Technical Director Dr. Brett Seidle, along with Expeditionary Warfare employees. These students were charged with developing real-world solutions and developing an approach to tough warfighter problems

NSWC Crane Announces Partnership with Cranfield University

NSWC Crane formally announced its Expeditionary Warfare Systems Engineering Master’s Degree program at a reception on Thursday, May 17th, at the WestGate Academy Conference and Training Center in Crane, Indiana.

NSWC Crane's Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department (SWESD) partnered with Cranfield University of the United Kingdom to host the official unveiling ceremony for the new program.  Leveraging Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE) funds, Crane has worked with Cranfield University to establish an advanced technical degree that will serve the many technologies supported by SWESD and prevalent on today's battlefield.  The program will include course modules on electro-optics, weapon systems design, ballistics, ground mobility platforms, communications, electronic warfare, modeling and simulation, and military autonomous vehicles.

Congratulations to the latest group of 30 new hires at NSWC Crane! In tradition, the class took the oath of office and attended morning colors on the first day of Onboarding.
