WASHINGTON -- “The very first Foundational Line of Effort within NAVSEA's Campaign Plan to expand the Advantage is "Design for Talented People." Why? Because without you, NAVSEA doesn't exist,” said NAVSEA Commander Vice Adm. Tom Moore.
In an effort to highlight the diversity and range of professions across the NAVSEA workforce, the NAVSEA Office of Corporate Communications began running “I am NAVSEA” videos on social media this month as part of the “Five Months of the Campaign Plan” push.
Over three weeks in May, NAVSEA collected more than 100 individual submissions from its activities around the globe which were used to compile 10 unique videos to highlight the people who make up the Force Behind the Fleet.
“The videos are a great representation that while NAVSEA may be a single entity, it is definitely multi-faceted,” said Operations Special 1st Class Julius Adams from Surface Combat Systems Center at Wallops Island, Virginia. He was featured in a video that included more than a dozen Sailors submitted from an afternoon command physical training session (I Am NAVSEA Part IV).
“The idea came from the PAO [public affairs officer], myself and the assistant and command fitness leaders, and it demonstrates our unit cohesiveness and ability to commit to each other’s professional and personal goals.”
New videos are being posted every few days on NAVSEA social media channels. Check out NAVSEA Facebook for the latest video: www.facebook.com/NAVSEA and visit our YouTube channel to see the entire video playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeGnj4tvk6a4HyGqMtQbmYxZDOfh5lukD.
