NEWPORT, R.I. - Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport’s Technical Director Marie Bussiere (from left) says the warfare center will adopt a “radical collaboration” mindset with industry partners to help accelerate technology advancements, while addressing attendees at Defense Innovation Days held on Sept. 2, 2026. The three-day event was hosted by the Southeastern New England Defense Industry Alliance (SENEDIA) — the Alliance for Defense Tech, Talent and Innovation at the Newport Marriott Hotel and Spa in Rhode Island.
