Marines Learn Foam Raiding Craft Manufacturing

OKINAWA, Japan - (OKINAWA, Japan) — Engineers from Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division’s Manufacturing Attritable Systems at Scale (MASS) team train III MEF Marines to apply spray foam to the FRC-7 at Valiant Shield 26 in July 2026. The hands-on training was part of a four-week effort in which Carderock engineers established a manufacturing lab and taught Marines to use the equipment and processes required to manufacture 3- and 7-meter Foam Raiding Craft platforms.
