Carderock MASS Team Takes Rapid Manufacturing to the Warfighter at Valiant Shield 26

OKINAWA, Japan - (OKINAWA, Japan) — From left, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division MASS team lead Zach Heinkel, Gen. Seiji Toriumi, Carderock engineer Ryan Faber, Lt. Gen. Roger B. Turner and Brig. Gen. Chris Haar ride aboard an FRC-7 during Valiant Shield 26 in July 2026. An interpreter, partially visible in the foreground, accompanies the group. The 7-meter Foam Raiding Craft was manufactured as part of Carderock’s effort to train III Marine Expeditionary Force Marines to produce and operate rapidly manufacturable maritime platforms.
