PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - Capt. Ryan McCrillis, commander of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, chats with a student about various trades during a mini-trades fair at the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum on July 15, 2026. PHNSY & IMF’s STEM program participated in the Honolulu Community College Summer CTE Academy event at the museum, conducting a mini-career fair for more than 100 students from the Academy, providing real-world shop exposure to students expressing an interest in trades, engineering, and STEM. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight" by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. (U.S. Navy photo by Kenny Jones)
