NUWC Division Newport hosts 75 college students, 10 midshipmen for summer internships

NEWPORT, R.I. - Jacob O’Donnell (front row, center), the university outreach coordinator within the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport’s Chief Technology Office, and Crystal Tanguay, a recruiting and staffing specialist, gather on July 10, 2026, with 10 U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen and some of the 75 college interns who participated in Division Newport’s summer internship programs. The programs provide interns with an introduction to submarine technology through hands-on activities.
