PORT HUENEME, Calif. - Close-up view of a prototype tool that Eric Csorba, an engineering technician with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division in California, designed to help Navy sailors maintain MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) cell hatches without damaging them in the process. Sailors have been employing items like screwdrivers and pry bars to exercise the latch rods that secure VLS cell hatches, but those tools can gradually cause damage. (Photo provided by Eric Csorba)
