NORFOLK - The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), transits to Naval Station Norfolk after on-time completion of an 11-month maintenance period at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and sea trials, Nov. 16, 2024. USS George H.W. Bush departed Norfolk Naval Shipyard to conduct a scheduled underway to test equipment and systems in preparation for future operations and is now in the basic phase of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan.
